I'm astonished so many people really liked this. Comfortably the worst film I've seen in some time. 3 is Huckleberry Hound! The name of 1 escapes me though, I knew it once.

I quite liked the book although it's not one of my favourite by Connelly. The cast is putting me off quite a lot though - McConaughey is generally just very smarmy and annoying, and Phillippe's just a bit rubbish.

It's found its way to the Ultimate Picture Palace in Oxford, where I saw it last night. Really enjoyed it, thoroughly gripping story and effectively told. Actually, not sure 'enjoyed' is quite the right word, but I'd definitely recommend seeing it.
