Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
There is a BBC website for audience tickets. You book and they email you tickets.
Like SFF they oversubscribe events, so you have to be there well in time. When I was there it was packed to the last seat.
I'll post it when I find it again.

Comp for Benda Bilili tickets and pre-concert dinner
Congolese super-band Staff Benda Bilili will return to the UK this May to play a series of special live dates, following the nationwide release of a feature film about them, due to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 16 May.
The band's inspirational live shows and extraordinary story have caused a stir around the globe. Made up of four singer/guitarists, backed by an energetic rhythm section and topped off with the infectious guitar-like sounds of a teenage prodigy, the group resonates with the pulse of Congolese rumba, Cuban swing and James Brown-inspired funk.
You can win a pair of tickets to one of Staff Benda Bililli's gigs at one of the following venues: The Sage, Gateshead; Town Hall, Birmingham; Roundhouse, London; Norfolk & Norwich Festival; Colston Hall, Bristol; Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.
The prize also includes a pre-gig dinner for two. Six runners up will receive a copy of the Benda Billili DVD.
Find out more about Staff Benda Bilili here.
The competition closes on 4 May.

I meant to ask you how big the Maida Vale Studios is? QEH is enormous, the queue went back for miles but once you've checked in they issue numbered tickets so you can go away and come back. Obviously NO latecomers.Kaybeelon wrote:You are welcome - as long as you don't tell too many people!![]()

Preferred Cinemas :
Richmond, Kingston, West End, Wimbledon, Shepherds Bush, Clapham, Westfield, Fulham

There were about 4 or 5 rows downstairs and a few more upstairs (couldn't see the exact size from downstairs but smaller than the downstairs space).jeancomp wrote:I meant to ask you how big the Maida Vale Studios is? Doors don't open until 2 (for a 2.30 start) so you can't go earlier and come back. When we arrived at about 1.50 there was a queue - of approximately 99 people - before us and a lot more people had joined the queue by 2. It works on a first come first served basis and the lady at the door puts a sticker with a number on your ticket (we were 100&101) but seats are not numbered. Downstairs all the seats were taken in no time and upstairs looked full, too. Here, too, tickets said NO latecomers.
