If you always hesitate because you're afraid of retaliation, you will always lose. Personally I hate the idea of being given the choice between being a muslim or being dead - i'd choose to rip out the throat of the person asking or die trying. If you think i'm exaggerating then you should study the early spread of Islam across North Africa, they had the same choice.
I have to agree, hesitate and you lose. I am glad he has been killed and also agree with other people that the consequences could be worst. But, I am not sure if he was in charge in the last few years, there are so many nutters out there (not quite sure of the words to use) , but basically, if he is dead and he has so many virgins waiting for him then he will come back (I HOPE NOT).

Guess there's not much too lose. The other option is Nakhon Thai but I really didn't like the guy. He was almost forcing my friend to leave a £200 deposit and I think if I wasn't with her, she would have!

I like the views in Elephant Royale, but moreso, I like the bar!

Back from Ireland. Even in Ireland the royal wedding dominated the news. Read this from one of my friend's status. "A prince gets married and a bad guy gets killed. It is a real Disney weekend." Didn't spend a great deal of time in Dublin as we were just outside in Carlow staying with a friend. Friend did take us to lots of different places including Kilkenny, Dublin, Glenalough and Avoca.

We visited the Guinness factory on Saturday. Very interesting and worth the money to go to it. Cheekily I asked for student discount which the lovely irish lass said "sure why not" so OH and myself saved 8 euros. Then we went into Temple Bar area. before heading back to Carlow for a few drinks.

Sunday we attended my friend's church before a road trip to Glenalough via Avoca where they filmed Ballykissangel. I'm sure I be more impressed if I actually seen the programme. Glenalough was very busy with lots of people. There is the oldest monastery in Ireland there and a lovely lake which we walk around.

Excellent fun-filled weekend. Now trying to catch up with the forum.
