Took my 13 year old son to see this at Wimbledon. Unfortunately not a free preview after drink, sweets and popcorn! Was looking forward to seeing it as a fan of nostalgic love stories, such as English Patient and Cold Mountain. Good performances from all, but an especially temple smashing one from Rosie!

Saw this yesterday at Whitleys, Bayswater, fully enjoyed it since I wasn't expecting much of this film. There was some animal cruelty scene which I found quite disturbing. 7/10 for me.

This was a lovely surprise of a film and really enjoyed it! Thought it was well-acted and managed to convey the two sides of the circus life in a bygone era, the magic it brought to the audience as well as the behind the scenes brutal reality.

Loved this film. Was not sure what to expect, but the story, the actors and the whole feel of the movie was undeniably brilliant. I attended with my 81 year old father and he too thoroughly enjoyed the movie. No swearing, no sex and the only violence was pertinent to the story. This is a film I would highly recommend to anyone/everyone. I would now like to read the book, which I hadn't even considered doing before. Pattison comes of age in this movie and this is his first adult role which proves that he is indeed more than just a pretty face. So much more to the film than I expected. The best movie I have seen in quite some time

Attended this film with two packs of tissues at the ready as was expecting it to be really sad (this is what I kept hearing). But it wasn't at all as sad as expected (and it really doesn't take much to make me cry). A good film. Very much enjoyed it.

The more clips and extra things I see of Tai the Elephant (who plays Rosie, of course hehe) the more i wonder how on earth someone manages to train and see such a telent in an animal such as this and the more i love the film for it.

reese said last night on graham norton that all the stunts she did for it were without any safety equipment, that at the time she didn't feel she needed it but looking back realises it was quite a risk. to me that's kind of amazing in this health and safety concious day and age!

they also explained how they did the cruelty scenes using a green screen and close action but that tai was actually just stood there eating a pile of jelly beans happy as could be during these bits hehe. they showed a clip so hopefully this bit will deffo make the show on friday!

I thought Robert Pattinson's acting was pretty rubbish...he's kind of morphing into a George Clooney for the TwentyTens with his 'eye-wincing' and shy boy looking down routine. It was a bit annoying. Reese Witherspoon was.. okay. It was Christoph Waltz's performance that really held this film together and gave the feeling of suspense and fear and drama.
I was surprised at how good the film was and as mentioned in an earlier post, the costume design was spot on for that era, and the cinematography was impressive.

Went and saw this at Bournemouth in a half filled cinema. I took my friend with me and we both really enjoyed it. We didnt like the animal cruelty but it was really only one scene.
