Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Hiya. Is anyone going to the Cause Célèbre understudy performance on Thursday afternoon. If so let me know. I'm going along - it would be nice to meet an FMUKer or three

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Referring to KK's post about the 99 Comedy Club. I went to the one at Leicester Square View last week. It was in the Penthouse of 1 Leicester Square which is also a restaurant and nightclub. So you get free entry to the nightclub afterwards. I was surprised drinks are really reasonable for a Central London location. We had three comedians, one, Prince Abdi was actually really good and funny, world's only anglo-somali stand up comic. Although the compere was funnier than all the comedians and had me in stitches!

The Don Sanche opera tomorrow at St John's sounds interesting (I suppose it will be a concert perfromance, not staged, but couldn't find information about that). I have to admit I wasn't even aware of the fact that Liszt had written an opera. I listened to some clips on youtube and it sounded very good (reminded me of something between Mozart and Rossini) - and Liszt was only 13 when he wrote it! I have heard the European Union Youth Orchestra before and they were very good. So I am looking forward to this. Are any other FMUKs going?
The event does not appear on the St John's website, I think it is organised by some Hungarian Cultural Institution for Europe day tomorrow, perhaps they just rented the venue, so I am not sure where and when (or whether) to exchange the e-mail for real tickets. Has anyone been to SFF concerts at St John's before? How does it normally work?
