Hi, I'm Mei.. Like everybody here, I love films. My first free film was 'Chalet Girl', the voucher was a gift from a friend. Cheers to many more free films! (^.^)

Your account gets deleted if you don't post at all for the first two weeks or if you have just one post and then don't visit the site for a month. Sorry, but a bit of contribution can be expected if you want all the advantages of this site, you would have got the reminders about your account.

Agree Beate! This site is wonderful and very helpful freinds! Thanks to all the FMUK admins for running the site and thanks to all members for sharing codes and tickets.

A wonderful place to be! :)

Introduce Yourself...

#1428 Post by spudmulkahee » Tue May 10, 2011 4:57 pm

I'm Spud, I have been going to free movies since a friendly usher offered me a ticket to see Breaking Away outside Peckham Odeon in South London (now a Job Centre Plus) one crisp Sunday afternoon in the late 1970s. Much has changed since I used to post off SAEs to Time Out, City Limits, Event, etc in the early 1980s.Oddly, it is just as hard to get tickets as networks like this one are well organised (so you log in to Show Film First and get the dreaded 'No Tickets Left'. Anyway, I wonder what is the earliest public preview that someone on this forum has ever attended? I saw Ghostbusters about five times before it was ever released, back in the year (1984) when you had to wait six months for a film that had opened in the USA for it to be released in the UK.

thanks

Hi – just come across this site after seeing Water for Elephants for free and it was such a great deal – I would like more please! So I have signed up in the hope that something more will come the way of Watford and Hemel cinemas especially.

Hello, i'm Dipadee. I am retired, live in Berkshire and have just joined fmuk. I havent seen any films yet as there havent been any in my area - but i'm hopeful that something might come up soon. What an interesting site this is! Hopefully I will get to know my way around it very soon - but any tips would be gratefully received - thanks! How do you get to find out about the free films so you can share with others on this site?
