Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I watched the worst film ever made! months ago I added what I though was Battle Los Angeles to my "coming soon", rental list and I was unaware that there were two very similarly named films, stupid me had added Battle OF Los Angeles!
Unaware of my mistake I started watching the film. I was worried by the dreadful trailers before the film started as this is never a good sign of what's to follow. The main film started and I though it was some kind of joke, I watched for a good five or more minutes before deciding to check with Google as to what load of rubbish I was watching. What a con! how were the film makers able to do this without being sued? Oh well at least when the real Battle Los Angeles arrives I won't be disappointed as my expectation levels have dropped dramatically.

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Ahh the joy of The Asylum, the studio responsible. They have quite a history of taking existing popular films and shamelessly copying them. Including Sherlock Holmes, Paranormal Activity (Entity), Transformers (Transmorphers). It is quite surprising what they can get away with. In fact the trailer for their most recent rip-off is Almighty Thor. You can check out the shockingly bad trailer here http://www.theasylum.cc/June wrote:I watched the worst film ever made! months ago I added what I though was Battle Los Angeles to my "coming soon", rental list and I was unaware that there were two very similarly named films, stupid me had added Battle OF Los Angeles!

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
That is so bad! I will make sure I never fall for that trick again. Why do the rental companies b*y the DVD's though? Surely they realise how disappointing it is for their customers.kevinknapman wrote:Ahh the joy of The Asylum, the studio responsible. The Asylum, well at least that makes sense, now I know where the producers and the cast came from.

Terry Gilliam's Brazil. A quite brilliant film, visually stimulating and with a great cast. Almost like 1984, but more fantastical.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
yeah i watched an Education this morning on it.
I was expecting the film to be about an evil pedobear but it wasnt, it was about con artists. What was entirely wierd was how her parents got strung into his charm?? They must be the worst parents in the world.
Carey wasnt convincing as a child after having seen her in other movies. She looks too much like grownup Carey to play a kid - althouh her acting was good except for one point - Oxford bound children are rarely open minded enough to do what she did, they are tight and crabby so as to sit in and study and shut out the outside world. She got connected to someone entirely like her way too impossibly.
So despite a well paced film, much of it was rather unbelievable.

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I agree with you on some points about it being unbelievable. I didn't like this film at all. Probably because I just didn't get the point and how anyone can be that naive and throw their life away so lightly. Love is blind all, but still.Peter Sarsgaard was a bit perv in this one - the Minnie comment in the bedroom, that was big time creepy. He is a con artist and a douchbag with a wife.raj101 wrote:yeah i watched an Education this morning on it.
