I'm surprised. It cost them $60 million to make so has already turned a decent profit prior to the dvd release. I would welcome a sequel to this over the certain to be sequels to shite like Insidious or another PotC.

The sequel book (the power of six) hasnt come out yet. Maybe they are waiting to see how it goes down with the fans. :confused:

Noooo! I was already looking forward to the sequel, now I will just have to watch and re-watch I am number four until I become sick of the film and can pine no more :tears:

Me too and i hoped that they would put in a decent actor for this storyline :undecided:

PLOT OF MONSTERS INC. 2 REVEALED


When Pixar announced they had plans for a Monsters inc. return we couldn’t wait to see what Sully & Mike had been up to since their 2001 big screen hit. But now it has been revealed the long awaited sequel is actually a prequel!

The plot centres around Sully, the big, blue beast voiced by John Goodman, and Mike, the eyeball with legs voiced by Billy Crystal when they first met at University.

Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.

Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars”, “Mater and the Ghostlight”, “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up”, “The Incredibles”, “Monsters, Inc”).

Monsters University is set for a late 2013 UK debut and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D in select cinemas
