Re: Prom
The Disney site now seems to say "Sorry but this Promo is not for this movie." It did work earlier so my guess is the venues are booked up. Whatever it is, please refrain from chatting on Free Films about it, I had to delete two posts already! One from a zero poster so you never saw it but anyhow - DON'T.

Re: Prom
Beate just texted to say she would be running late. Upon arrival, she texted to say, she's going home - there's over 100 screaming kids and she is worried there will be casualties!
I really feel for her. Poor Beate.

Re: Prom
Urgh. Where do I start? Maybe with the fact that OH woke me at 7am (!) to announce that he was going to the shops as we are out of toast bread. Never mind the fact that ASDA does not open before 11am, why on earth wake me for this? I had two more hours to go before I had to get up! He said "but we are watching a film, right?" "Yes, in THREE HOURS!"
So not in best mood. Went back to bed but sleep was fitful and we were then running late for the film. I did want to go though because I had already missed Hop which turned out to be a bit of a chocolate festival. Upon arriving we saw hundreds of noisy kids milling around the place (Cineworld Greenwich). Checked the printout, it was certificate U! The back row was entirely taken up by small kids which is another thing that does not make sense - as soon as a taller adult sits in front, they won't be able to see anything! And they were noisy, talking, running around, kicking seats - I was in fits before the film even started! Sorry to all the Mums and Dads on the forum whose kids are obviously angels but I had visions of me knocking some kids out cold with a left hook if they didn't sit still NOW.
We might have stayed if the film had been a little better. But I have no interest whatsoever in the trials and tribulations of American highschool kids trying to get a prom date. It's bad enough having to endure the "who's going to be Prom king and queen" rubbish in Glee at the moment! The quality and originality of this film is of Channel 5 Afternoon Movie level, and consequently we left after about three minutes into this mess. Encountered the usheress outside and just said "It's not for us I am afraid". "Oh sorry". Not her fault!
So if you love noisy kids and mindless highschool movies, this is for you. Otherwise, please steer clear.

Re: Prom
And the worst thing is, I can't even count this in my tally now as we didn't stay!
