Nice! Were you upstairs or downstairs? I like the view from the balcony if they leave it open.
I saw them from downstairs (don't think upstairs was open), not too far from the stage. I managed to get some really nice pictures, for a change. My friend and I both agreed that it was one of the best concerts we've seen in the past years.
The support act (Ava Inferi) was a bit boring, though. I don't enjoy female voices in metal songs, tbh.
The one thing that annoys me about metal gigs is that there are so many tall guys in the crowd. It's difficult to find a spot with a clear view of the stage.

I have the same problem, sometimes can't see f**k all, so have to fight my way to the front... Some very tall people I know usually go stand towards the back of the room, few people are that considerate though.

Think how us vertically challenged females manage!
One tall/big-headed person can easily ruin our view during a concert, theatre show or even at the cinema.

Tell me about it. I keep seeing tall people at the front. I wouldn't manage to fight my way there, though.

i have to stand at the barrier for gigs if i really want to be able to see - no other place is good enough. too many hands, heads, bodies, people pushing me, jumping... ugh. battered ribs have been a part of my life for 15 years now. it hurts but usually it's worth it. the scariest was being at the barrier for the main stage at Reading festival when Kings of Leon were headlining - my feet weren't on the floor anymore! :O .... gonna see how that goes at IOW this year though! bit smaller i think.. i hope!

What do we do about the "TBA" options? Can we re-apply if something is announced which we want to see?
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog:

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.
