Crikey some of you have seen a fair few freebie flicks,
I'm a bit of a newbie too but my first freebie one was 'Two Lovers', I find them easier to get outside of London, but as always you have to be in quick!
Happy movie watching all!

My first preview was Walk Hard, the Dewey Cox Story. It looked too stupid to p*y for (and was) but it was worth a free viewing and had a few funny bits to carry me through.
And now I'm off to see Julie&Julia

The first preview that I saw was Taken with Liam Neeson which everyone in the screening seemed to really enjoy, and is by far one of the best previews I've seen. The most recent one, and at the other end of the enjoyment scale, was Funny People with Adam Sandler which I thought was not funny and far too long for a comedy.

Re: What was your first preview?
I can barely believe that my first screening was when I was at Uni - probably around 2000
(just realised I could check the release date and it was a good guess!). It was though a company called Beeswax or something like that and they used to have raffles and film related prizes. They did them for a while and the first one I saw (I think, it was a long time ago...) was Love, Honour & Obey with Ray Winstone. At the time I loved the film but I've watched it again and, though it is funny (the Vidal Sassoon joke is BRILLIANT in my mind), my humour has obviously changed. Hubby loved it though, which tells me I'm jsut more mature and classy than him!!
Sadly Beeswax closed
as they were not being given screenings and it was a few years before I discovered SFF, then even more time passed before I found (the old version of) this wonderful website. I've never looked back :)
Thanks to all those to find and post codes
- only once have I been fast enough to get them on here first!

Re: What was your first preview?
Gosh, this question brings me back.....my first preview screening was back in '92 or '93 I think -got stopped outside the tube station and asked if I would like to see a film - cannot remember now what it was called back then but went to see it, Michael Douglas starred in it...loved it and took part in a short talk about it afterwards.
Came out a good while later and had been re-titled to 'Falling Down'
I wish I could remember what it was origanally titled - think it had a one-word title back then - something beginning with D......that's gonna bug me now

I'm fairly new to FMUK so mine was just a few weeks ago for inglorious basterds which is an amazing film. i was completely blown away by it, my fave chapter was the first when they were both smoking their pipes! Hans' pipe was ultimately superior!
FMUK is absolutely the best thing EVER
