Went to Odeon, Lothian Road this morning to see this but the cinema door still closed at 10.20am and not sign of life inside!! Phone number on door so the man standing next to us phoned and the manageress came out to speak to us. She had no knowledge of this screening and didn't have the reel. She went away with my printout to see if she could find out what was going on and came back a few minutes later to aplogise and said the reel was up at Odeon Westerhailes and if we hurried we could get there as they would delay the start. We didn't go by car so would not be able to get there by bus in time so opted for two tickets for another day for any film!! o/

Just got an email from sky apologising for this morning and asking me to fill in the feedback survey so they can see where the problem lay.

A lot of very disappointed children in the queue but having read Beate's review I think we were better off with the tickets for another film for free. :D :D

this is the sweet & innocent disney version of american pie... teenagers leading up to their final end of school prom.

yes it had the feel of a channel 5 sunday afternoon film about it but I like those and it was a sunday morning :D
They had a rather handsome Johnny Depp look-a-likey for the rebel biker character and the young sophomore guitar girl was a bit of a ringer for Katie Holmes too.
Not so sure it held the attention of the kids for the full film as there was a fair bit or running about going on, it's more of a film for tweenies(is that the right term?) than the really young ones.

5/10

You'll be pleased to know he's been cast in Dark Shadows(film adaptation of the TV series) WITH Johnny Dep himself, and ofcourse the gorgeous Helena Bonham Carter ;)

I think this film was ok, typical disney feel to it, having flashbacks of my rubbish prom kind of spoiled it for me, I wish mine was anything like that!
I didnt exactly feel connected with the characters, I can see Simone being the new Vanessa Hudgens (could be her sister? she did sound a lot like her :shifty: )
4/10 for me, purely because there wasnt much of a point to it, like elski said, seemed more like a tv film about how a teen gets ready for prom ^^
Shadowhunters: Looking better in black than the widows of our enemies since 1234.
I am, after all, what you made me.

Mildly entertaining if a bit cliched, with younger versions of Johnny Depp and Katie Holmes look-alikes and lip gloss galore!

Saw this at a very full Southampton Odeon full of young kids which was to be expected being a disney film.Took my youngest with me,she and i really enjoyed it,easy to follow, very predictable and likeable characters, how a disney film should be happy endings. As for all the kids they were quiet and well behaved so 3 cheers for them. o/ :D o/

This movie was absolutely cheesy and totally predictable (of course everything was going to work out for all the "nice" kids in the end!) but that is to be expected from a teeny bopper Disney movie. I for one really enjoyed watching it. We don't have Prom or anything like that back home so no bad flashbacks for me thankfully, I could just enjoy watching all the different characters and be envious of their clothes. Superficial I know, but hey that's why I watch Gossip Girl too.

I too enjoyed it, I like cheesy. We didn't have proms when I was at school just the school disco which wasn't up to much at an all girls school! Nice meeting up with steve and his OH again. 7/10

I saw this at Manchester this morning, I agree it was cheesy and predicable, but it was still quite entertaining and fine for a sunday morning. I agree re the Johnny Depp look-a-like very cute and would mark it at 6/10 for him alone.
