Just reading the last posts, Wine Tasting? That sounds like a date? Or was it all females? :p
I agree with a Dating Thread! (Note that I am taken but my OH doesn't go on FMUK so o/ mwahaha )
Though if I were single, would I go to a screening with another FMUK for a date? HmMm.....that's a hard one. I think I would if I had spoken to him outside of FMUK e.g. MSN? Facebook? Telephone?
Having said that, my first date with my BF was at the cinema and it's not an ideal environment to get to know someone but at least you are guaranteed to have a subject to talk about (unless they slept through it :wall: )

Went to see First Night at King's Place today. Interesting to go there, I have never been before and it's really nice and right on the canal. Good to see ejwrank and meet her OH, and to meet cliveas and thank him personally for the Lyric posting. Didn't catch sight of Valda, perhaps you were upstairs?

Oh, the film? Well lovely music and singing, obviously, set in gorgeous stately home and grounds. Competent acting apart from Sarah Brightman, but to be fair she can't move any of her facial muscles. Some amusement but the main thing missing was Inspector Barnaby cos it could all have been an episode of Midsomer Murders. :giggle:

The trouble with a dating thread is it will become cluttered very quickly. You will need multiple threads, one for each region/city if you want it to work.

Sorry Jeancomp I got there pretty late, I saw ejw and Cliveas behind her but it was hard to see who was who when everyone was sitting down. I stayed for the Q & A afterwards which was quite fun. I wont say much about the film as its so early. It was shown on DVD and a bit of a rough cut, so that was the worst it will ever be. There will probably be no subtitles thank goodness, and the film will come out mid September.
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Oh, I didn't even realise there was a Q&A though OH probably wouldn't have wanted to stay behind. If you mean subtitles for the opera singing I agree, not needed at all, but the small amount of Italian dialogue was ok with subs.

Reading FBI's most wanted list. A lot of messed up jerks.
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I've just found out that the remake of the tongue-in-cheek ‘80s classic "Fright Night" opens 2 September.
I used to love this film, I hope the remake is a good one and that preview tickets become available.
My old VHS copy of this movie is not the same anymore as I'm used to watching HD and I had forgotten how poor the picture quality used to be.

Well Scotland has one of the windiest day this year with 70mph gales now happening. Trains have been suspending and roads blocked with trees falling down.
