Oh no, they told me in advance (I had to provide details for guest including business name) so we didn't go - I didn't bother cancelling for myself, har har.

Had a fantastic night at Highlight comedy club last night. Only pa*d £16 on Groupon for entrance, burger and chips and a beer. Dave Johns interacted with the audience brilliantly and the headliner played guitar while singing all these daft made up songs.

Dave Johns is one to watch out for in the festival.

We were invited to a corporate BBQ on a rooftop in Waterloo today. Didn't think the view was up to much and the BBQ, although tasty, wasn't very inventive. Chicken skewers, Cumberland sausages, vegetable kebabs and pork ribs. No hamburgers, no bread, no salad, no anything else.

I am getting jaded.

:giggle: And the nice strawberries dipped in chocolate and lovely pimms! Sorry to have missed you but I left early to go to the London Bridge Experience - and what an experience, scared out of my life! Won't ever do that again!

And again, the person next to me won the top prize draw, a weekend to Paris on the Eurostar. He always wins, so I thought if I stand next to him, his luck would rub off on me, alas, it did not. This is the third time in a row now, that someone next to me won the prize draw! ;) However, we all did go away with a goody bag full of office stationery, i.e. loads of pens (one shaped into a long stem with a flower at the top, very cute!), pencils, post it notes, and chocs, i.e. a little box of truffles and another little box full of miniature dairy milk. A nice early evening finish too. o/

I think the venue does more community stuff and conferences rather than anything bigger budget

And it shows. How do you always know which event I am talking about? Ok, which one am I skipping tomorrow then?

lol...I am not Jean Grey, I can't read your mind.... :D
At least the rain stayed away long enough from the BBQ today. Went to a function this evening at Mandara Spa, which was nice. Didn't know it was the only one in Europe 8O
