Deni, how do you get into the Carfone warehouse site to look at the clearance deals? Maybe I should be sensible and get a good deal rather than p*y top dollar for the Samsung or get tied down to a long contract.;

They refused to put my credit back on unless I topped it up (and as I use it so rarely the last thing I wanted to do was top it up.) Well 02 have now given me £10 credit and an apology. So that to my mind is a result.
Well I also use a very basic phone, but I do update it. I use up the credit a little more quickly, but if you do run it down it might be worth looking at some of the deals around before topping up.

I recently b*ght a new Nokia (basic model - 1800 and there was a choice of brands) for 1p plus compulsory £10 credit. Total outlay £10.01 less cashback £7.57 through online cashback site. Net cost of £2.44 for brand new phone plus £10 credit.

Oh we do have some slightly more up to date phones (and b*ght one on Orange for guess what --Orange Wednesdays-- and with quidco etc I think they pa*d us to b*y it) but I still want to keep this old faithful one going if only to be able to claim on FMUK that I have the oldest mobile going!

But it will go live on Thursday supposedly, not working at the moment, it re-directs you to special offers.

CPW clearance is live now, but there website is really not user friendly!
the main pages may still show the full prices, but you look closer at the deals, there is lots of reduced prices.

Just bagged myself a cheap Netbook (Samsung N210) :mrgreen:

both are on top of my list as well... unfortunately I do not have the budget right now; maybe for Xmas :roll:

I think I will go for the HTC anyway; that would be my third HTC ... lovely shiny things :mrgreen:

don't go through the clearance link ;)
You basically have to have an idea of what you want and look for it in the normal dabs!
