Judging by the recent posts relating to dating between FMUKers, you may find a date on the FMUK fomum, now that you're available :smile_anim:

good luck aruif

changing subject....I'm still at work (we're one of those travel agents with a big glass window shop front) and we have a main road right outside. Anyways, whilst it was pouring down (Greater SW London), there was a topless podgy man with no shoes running on the road and three police officers chasing him. Now there's traffic but all the cars were like stopped anyways but we were all watching the police officers shouting with their batons and pepper spray and the guy was just constantly out running them. Then there were about two vauxhall corsa police cars, police van, 4x4 police and ambulance all going after them. Quite amusing that the police were rubbish at capturing this guy. Okies back to work :tears:

Something extraordinary happened to me on the Northern Line today: someone SPOKE to me. I apologised to a woman about my dripping umbrella and she started chatting about the weather and England, and where am I from and how long have I lived here? Whereabouts in Germany and she used to live there for a few years and she is Italian and then she started speaking German in a heavy accent! It spooked me out at the same time as it cheered me up - unfortunately I only had one stop to go.

That's nice, wonders never cease! It does make a huge difference when people talk to one another, I find that people are to afraid to talk to others, even if they see the same people day in day out, however I also find that once you make the first move to engage in a conversation you usually find that there are lots of friendly chatty people out there.
One exception to the above rule was a man in Maida Vale who when I asked him a simple question he replied "I don't speak to people!"

This is a bit macabre, but is there a way to find out if someone is deceased without joining one of these sites that charge?
My elderly sister in law always makes my sister and I birthday and Christmas cards. She has the same birthday as my sister n April and neither of us have had a card from her.

She lives on her own in Cornwall, and I expect if she had passed, her children wouldn't bother to let us know :(
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Don't have their niumbers, and, surely they would have phoned if they wanted us to know. Since her husband died (our brother) we never heard from any of them apart from her cards.

I guess my sister may have a number possibly

You might be able to find phone numbers through directory enquiries, if they aren't keeping them off-directory.

Unfortunately or fortunately?
