Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
saw the Kylie concert on Sunday..but forgot to pack my 3d glasses!
wasnt goin to p*y for another pair (may be a stupid decision?) but thankfully only half the movie was in 3d, and was a bit dark anyway so it worked out ok.
Bit of a phenomenon, this Kylie girl. I remember when anyone who was cool despised her (early 1990s) but whichever marketing company she is attached to really turned things around for her over the last 15 years. Coupled with her young looks and some fantastic songwriters shes a decent product for todays generation and she has got to be the prima donna of disco pop concerts these days, which is odd considering half her songs are actually pretty naff and she regularly gets outsung by her backing singers.
Pretty magnificent show though.

Am very excited :-) being supported by Whitelies and the modfather Mr Paul Weller wooooo hoo!!
Then next week its Arcade Fire/Mumford & Sons.... then THe Foos & Biffy Clyro.
Went to see them in Manchester yesterday, they were amazing! You are in for a real treat. Caleb was actually smiling and chatty with the crowd,
and because the band was enjoying playing they stayed on longer and played a few extra songs.
White Lies were also on top form.
I've got The Killers and Bon Jovi this coming weekend

Going to the High Voltage Festival on 23rd July. I think its the first music festival I'll ever be going to as previously I've only gone to indoor concerts. Slash and Thin Lizzy will be featured among the acts which I look forward to.

I might be going! really excited about seeing them and white lies, but i saw paul weller in december and spent most the time checking facebook i was so f'n bored. hopefully he'll do more of a festival best of type set seeing as this isn't his gig. he's really gone down in my estimation!
good set of gigs you've got going on! i'm mighty impressed!
and raj - i'm going to see the documentary. my friend works in the cinema they're doing the q&a in so she's going to meet them and i couldn't be more jealous. too many of my friends have met them and i've never been even close

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Went to see Amon Tobin at the Roundhouse on Friday, someone I've liked for ages but never seen before. He did a dj set but with this amazing 3d cube set that was projected onto, which was so visually good, combined with amazing audio, I've never been quite so in awe throughout a gig before. Was the perfect experience and can't even comprehend the amount of work that must have gone into matching the music and projections. My only complaint was it ended far too quickly! would highly recommend if anyone ever has the opportunity, I tried to find a good clip to illustrate, but everyone's videos are horrible and buzzy and don't do the night justice!

If I were younger and the weather better I would have gone to sit outside and listen to Bon Jovi and Rod Stewart. Still Killers/ Kaisers will do me on Friday
