London Ice Cream Truck Moved to June 27-29

Due to weather, we moved the Firefox Gone Mobile ice cream truck to this coming Monday through Wednesday, June 27-29 from noon to 6pm. Follow @mozmobile to discover our location each day!

Since March, the Firefox Gone Mobile ice cream truck has cruised through the US cities of Austin, Los Angeles and New York serving free, community-named gourmet ice cream and talking to folks about Firefox for mobile. It’s been fantastic to interact with each and every visitor, answering questions, demoing Firefox for Android and Firefox Home for the iPhone, helping folks download and eating free sweet treats!

Due to its great reception, we’re proud and excited to finally be taking Firefox Gone Mobile across the pond! Each day we’ll be spreading the Firefox cheer, handing out swag and talking up Firefox for mobile! Not to mention, passing out free ice cream with flavors that include:

Mozilli Vanilli - Vanilla Bean with a Choccy Chip
Tipsy Fox - Rum and Raisin
Chilla from Mozilla - Refreshing Cherry Sorbet
Foxy Tennis - Luscious Wimbledon Strawberries & Cream

Our locations may change multiple times a day, so follow us at @mozmobile and be sure to look out for #fficecream on Twitter. If you’re the type that likes to plan ahead here’s an idea of where we may be kicking off each day:

Free bagels for July 4. Lunchtime today near Tate Modern

As part of the July 4 Independence Day celebrations, the New York Bakery Co. are again handing out bagels at a very round price. This one-day giveaway takes place in SE1′s Canvey Street behind Tate Modern. It starts at noon and will keep going until they run out of bagels.

You may remember the company from their stunt earlier this year when they brought the Naked Cowboy from Times Square to Kings Cross St Pancras station so he could sing his “Ode to the Bagel” as free baked polo-shaped products were distributed to passersby. Today’s promotion features much less nudity but, hey, who needs an excuse for an early lunch break/late breakfast when the weather is this good?

Fans of the company’s products may be interested to know that they are currently hiring a taste tester: “applicants need to have a love of the Big Apple, a passion for bagels and the ability to speak in a ‘New Yoik’ accent.” The lucky winner will bag a “research” trip to New York and, quite probably, more free bagels. Topshop announced that it is teaming up with our favourite frozen yoghurt company FRAE to celebrate summer in style. A quaint ice-cream van has been transformed into the Topshop truck, complete with frozen yoghurt dispenser, and will hit the road on weekends throughout July and August. Previous collaborations include soup and hot chocolate giveaways during London Fashion Week.

All you need to do is track the truck's location via Topshop's Facebook and Twitter pages then queue up for a free tub of FRAE organic frozen yoghurt, each serving is fat free and packed with probiotics. The really exciting part is that on each tub there will be a secret code that you then take in-store to find out what prize you've won. Prizes include Topshop make-up, purses, £100 gift cards and a chance to win a £250 spending spree in-store.

Catch up with the Topshop truck from 10am-6pm in Southgate Square, Cardiff on 23-24 July; Queens Street, Bath 30-31 July; Dortmund Square, Leeds 6-7 August; The Great Hall Entrance, Trafford Centre, Manchester, 13-14 August and Northumberland Street North, Newcastle 20-21 August.
