We went to watch this with very low expectations so we were not disappointed. Actually rather enjoyed it. Loved all the additional autobots, didn't understand all the stuff with Dr Ken & John Malkovich because it seemed to lack context, didn't get what was all that about Carly (bf did though...go figure  ), liked Patrick Dempsey (my turn for eye-candy? ), didn't feel the chemistry between Sam & Carly, liked Frances McDormand as usual, liked the fight scenes and the 'sliding scene'. Did not like Sentinal Prime!

Other than that it was entertaining enough.

6/10 from us

A Michael Bay montage... just as John Woo likes doves, Bay obviously likes... helicopters??

I saw this at the preview on Tuesday, shame the cinema wasn't full but thought it was a good film & the 3D looked good as well. Not like some films that I've seen.

I finally got to see Transformers: Dark Of The Moon and I loved it! I'm usually disappointed when watching movie sequels and I was a little disappointed with Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, however I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining T3 was, especially as it was almost 3 hours long!
The story was more imaginative than it's prequels and the creativeness from the SFX team was amazing. The Stunt Team did a great job but the Acting and dialogue was a little weak in most parts, however I didn't go expecting a Shakespearian performance.
If you like Transformers, fantasy, syfy and constant action in films then this film will be sure to tick all of those boxes, if however you expect to see the acting performance of the century then you will be disappointed.....well at least by the human members of the cast!

8/10 score from me o/

Saw this yesterday in old fashioned 2D at Greenwich. Thought it was slightly better than the second one but still it was probably one of the worst films I've seen this year. I found Shia LeBeouf's character increasingly unlikeable and Rosie Huntington-whatsherface made Megan Fox look like Meryl Streep in the acting stakes. Hopefully they will call it a day but looking at the opening day grosses I am sure we will see another sequel. 4/10

Watched in the BFI IMAX and I'll honestly say this - it was not a good movie, but GODDAMN was it good looking!! The 3D was flawless, the sound loud & crisp and the visuals just drop-dead gorgeous. Pity about the boring dialogue and awful acting..still kinda worth it for the overall experience though.

Oh yeah, I watched "The Hangover 2" on Friday evening at the Richmond Odeon and I guess the walls must have been paper thin because I could hear nothing but the reverberating sounds of Optimus and his crew throughout our movie. It was almost as if we were sitting in that particular theatre. :sunglasses:

this didnt really had to have bothered with a plot and Shia shouting a lot. Its really about the autobots duking it out, and that looks immensely good, if a little lacking in logic. Its based on a cartoon, so its flaws are forgiven if you just want a 3d trip for the last hour.

Also noticed this - Shia actually does look like Harrison ford when he squints, frowns and rolls his eyes...maybe casting him as Indianas son wasnt such a terrible idea at least for his looks.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
