Lower your expectations, Raj and you will enjoy it.
Still 100% at rottentomatoes :)
I am going to watch this again at a 2d screening with friends next Friday. I think I will try watch all my potter films in sequence for the next several days and say a final goodbye to the series next week.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
I hate it when they make a big hoopla about allocated seats, so you turn up early to claim a good ticket, and then it turns out it's free seating. Could have easily got there an hour later than I did, there were still good seats available...
The red carpet stuff was rather painful, luckily had my mp3 player going through most of it, but still didn't escape alex twat zane throwing in a few minor spoilers (at least for people who haven't read the books, like me). The endless "thank you's" and "we're all wonderful" at the end was sooo boring, just give us the film ffs!
As I'd feared, the 3D was rubbish, too dark and often blurry, a useless distraction throughout the film for me, so I will probably try and watch this again in 2D in a couple of weeks time. But the film is so much better than part 1 last year. All action, dark and emotional, great special effects and score, and a good way to end the series. The end was a genuine surprise for me as I expected something else! Fiennes and Rickman were fantastic but it's a big shame that so many of those other great actors hardly get to say a line in the film! Overall I think I enjoyed it, will watch it again, but for now... 8/10
The much talked about "kiss" came out of nowhere, and looked very awkward! And the 19 yrs later part was totally cringeworthy, were they supposed to have used some magic potion to keep themselves looking young or something? Could have done without that.

I'm so glad they kept Molly Weasley's ultimate line in. Best bit of dialogue from the book, best bit of dialogue from the film.
"NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!"
And I was surprised at the amount of empty seats...

I was annoyed by the amount of empty seats too... Rushed to get there after work, stressing I'd be late, and then ended up watching the red carpet for nearly 2 hours O_O It was nice, but not worth the rush and multiple reminders from Sky regarding "allocated seats" (or how strict they were checking their guest list, as everyone could've gotten in, surely).

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Maybe they turned some people away whose names didn't match the guest list?
Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
I know that so many of the well known actors had such cameo roles that it was hardly worth their while getting changed into their costumes, lol, but did Hermione actually even speak at all? If she did I hardly noticed. I was too busy being blown away with the rest of the movie.

Currently? Opposed to someone else portraying the character in the previous 7 films? And also, I actually like her so hushraj101 wrote:probably a good thing she didnt speak as shes being played by emma watson currently.
