Re: Horrible Bosses
Unfortunately, I was one of the few that arrived 5 mins before the showing at Whitleys last night only to walk into a packed screen. With no available seats, my friends and I had no option but to leave.
Slightly disappointed having read others reviews of how funny the film was. More annoyed though by Odeon Whiteleys who refused to to acknoweldge that they had the preview in one of their smallest screens and there were clearly more tickets given away by ShowFilmFirst than there were seats!
We saw quite a few people after us get turned away too. Not sure if there were any FMUKers amongst them though.
Did anyone else get turned away and end up having a less than helpful conversation with the staff at the Odeon Whiteleys?

I hate lateness. I'm at the O2, my friend with the tickets... late! I've hustled here from work, shes had the whole day off & has no excuse.
If we don't get in, I'll not be happy

Aren't you glad the screening is so delayed?don_datta wrote:I hate lateness. I'm at the O2, my friend with the tickets... late! I've hustled here from work, shes had the whole day off & has no excuse.

Re: Horrible Bosses
I saw this last night at an almost packed Wimbledon and it was better than I expected. Even if it was a bit over the top stuff
but it isnt a film to be taken seriously. It was hilarious and cliche at the same time but it was something I needed after the day I had.

Nope, cos she was THAT late. The screening was full.jramjee wrote:Aren't you glad the screening is so delayed?don_datta wrote:I hate lateness. I'm at the O2, my friend with the tickets... late! I've hustled here from work, shes had the whole day off & has no excuse.

To be fair to the cinema, they realised it was so packed, they opened a second screening to get more people in, and for those who were late (my friend, not me, I was at the cinema at 5.45) they gave us complimentary tickets to any 2D film at any cineworld.
I think some people don't understand the concept of these screenings. At 6.45 a guy was trying to claim that because he's had his ticket since the 8th July, he's reserved a spot - the manager explaining the notion of first come first serve fell on deaf ears.
After reading reviews, I really wanted to see this. Maybe I'll use my complimentary ticket & go when it comes out.

Re: Horrible Bosses
Just seen this at a packed Croydon screening.
Loved it. It was original and funny and it was great to see many stars.
The 2nd funniest film for me so far. 8/10

Re: Horrible Bosses
Whiteleys have a habit of turning people away. I've had a friend turned away and there were spaces in the room. having said that, Iwasn't there last night so don't know if there were any seats aroundKnight N wrote:Unfortunately, I was one of the few that arrived 5 mins before the showing at Whitleys last night only to walk into a packed screen.
