They wouldn't have cut the swearing. The purpose of those Over 18 screenings is definitely to avoid noisy children.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Thanks funthing for those clips, very enjoyable. Have seen the last one but not the first two, my daughter loved them.

I really enjoyed the film but was dissapointed by the lack of atmosphere in our mostly empty screening :(

No-one dressed up and most tickets were b*ght for the 2D and on seeing the 3D effects would have been happy seeing it in 2D. No-one else seemed to have food so we felt forced to crunch quietly.......bummer!!

One of our party let slip Harry's fate which totally pissed me off so couldn't even emotionally get into it properly

Was that the midnight screening at Cineworld last night? I was really tempted to go along again, having seen it last week. I was even toying with the idea of seeing Part 1 immediately before. I had been hoping for a frenzy of interest and excitement at the first public screening with dressing up and such as you'd suggested. What a shame.

Ocean Terrible is a ghost town at the best of times I'm afraid. Can only hope that Cineworld was better attended - maybe more students around that part of town?

What a shame.

(I would have gone but I was at Slacker's Club showing of Horrible Bosses fdor the second time. Lol)

Or if weirdfilms33 had lent me his Professor Quirrell costume I'd have definitely gone!

Where the heck is that?!?! You were probably amongst Death Eaters who of course would not be cheering as they are on the losing side! Dont worry about those losers, I hope you enjoyed the film? :)

I just come home from seeing it again tonight at Odeon Surrey Quays. But this screening was in glorious 2D with HD projection. Not my favourite cinema at all but at least all screens have digital HD projections. its the seats I dont like but the cinema is convenient for my friends. I had also watched part 1 at home timing it well for it to end in time before having to leave and meet my friends at the cinema! So felt I had watched part 1 and 2 as a whole film :)

What beautiful cinematography. God its a sin how much of that is lost when watching in 3D as the forground objects diminishes the scale of the background. I enjoyed it so much more this time round as a result (even though I enjoyed it first time round but that Greenwhich O2 darkening projection is truly truly pathetic). The vibe was quite subdued among the audience with a few pockets of cheers failing to create a ripple effect on the rest of us. I was also subdued, lol. I didnt care tbh, this wasnt a fans midnight screening, this time I wanted to absorb the film more, enjoy its 2D greatness and brighter projection (Did I mention 2D projection is far superior to 3D? no? Oh I must remember to mention it!), and inevitably pick up a bit more on its failings. These failingss are mainly the films lack of clarity in some of the story elements for non readers of the books)

I already wrote up my review several days ago and posted on IMDB if anyone is interested in reading it (link to my reviews are in my signature). My opinion hasnt changed much, rating stays the same because although I picked on on some failings, these are compensated by the action scenes being more vivid and fluent second time around compare to the original darker mess of the...um...you know, that other threedee version.

Well this was the end of my cinematic journey for Harry Potter, and it was a helluva ride. But I will get the Blu Rays and watch them one more time.

Oh one more thing, not sure if I have mentioned it before but I personally believe 2D is a vastly superior experience to 3D in most cases :P

Just come back from seeing it at the IMAX, I would recommend it in 3D! But only at the IMAX! There were no floating mishapen objects in the wrong place, and the giant screen really made you feel part of the experience, at times I even felt disorientated! I chortled at Voldemort's laugh yet again and realised much more how pathetic he seems in the end. 10/10 at the IMAX o/
