Tickets says half ten so should start then if theres no delays, but you should aim to be there by ten.

The Empire was packed this morning! Plenty of babes in arms (one was 5 weeks old and adorable!) and lots of kiddies.

Very nice breakfast too! Croissants, cakes, tea, coffee, juices etc. But lots of kiddies! Penguin balloons, face painting, photographs before film and posters and ballons giveaway after film.

Lovely to see valda, funthing29 and her mum.

My mum and I loved the film, especially the penguins So many funny bits and aah moments, a real feel good film. 9/10.

Was anyone turned away. From the screening because it was too full?

They barely glanced at my ticket at the Empire so anyone could have walked in. It was very busy but the screen was only 95% full I'd say.

Loads of activities for the kids including balloons and face painting. The foyer was absolutely heaving - it was hard to move around but nice to have free coffee and croissants.

Lovely to see valda and pxc as always and I briefly spotted soonforgotten as he exited the screen.

The film itself was incredibly charming. Plenty of laugh out loud moments and sufficient story to entertain adults and children. Carrey is in his comfort zone here, playing a workaholic who discovers there are more important things in life including his family blah blah, not much of a unique story. The penguins, however, are undoubtedly the stars of this film!! They were just so adorable and the relationship between them and Popper was sweet and believable. Lots of aaaaaaaahs from me. The ending was a bit rushed but obviously a kiddie's movie has to end with a happily ever after. Great family entertainment and one of the better children's movies I've seen this year. 8/10.

Saw this at the Empire this morning and thought it was very good. One of the best children's films i've seen recently. My son really enjoyed it as well. The plot wasn't original but it didn't matter as the charm carried it through.
