I, however, really really enjoyed this film. Really funny, entertaining and just a joyful, pleasurable good time to watch it.
Not that scary, thankfully, but definitely having fun with what you might expect from it, and with some great performances from Colin Farrell and David Tennant especially, it was a film in which I had a smile slapped across my face from beginning to end, and plan to catch it again on release.
Good times.

I agree with EthanRunt on this one. Also I thought the 3D was actually used well for some gory/scary things. And I definitely enjoyed David Tennant in skin-tight leather.

I really loved this movie. Not a fan of horror normally but I was persuaded by leather-clad Tennant in the promos to see it and I'm pleased that I enjoyed the entire movie and not just his shirtless scenes (though they were sort of the highlights for me). It had a few gory moment and some jumpy/scary ones that were very well done in 3D but it wasn't too scary at all. It was just a fun movie to watch with plenty of good humour without becoming overly cheesy.

[spoiler]Also I was super pleased that while it did initially seem that Tennant would bite the dust that he actually survived the end battle. I really enjoyed his character and it's good to see that he wasn't killed off just because the type of character he played usually does. Actually, in general it was a pretty happily ever after ending for most characters, except the bad guy and the kid from Kick-Ass.[/spoiler]

i'm off to see this at the empire big screen thingy. it says that it is the premiere but not too sure about that really - does that mean david tennant will be there? :O

I did read he will be there to present the movie but then when I looked at the schedule yesterday he's supposedly presenting it at three screens at the same time so it's eitther prerecorded or he will be at one of the with a link up to the others (if it's the latter I'm assuming he'll be in the biggest screen)

it is on in 3 screens he will be ushered into each screen to do it really quickly. this is what usually happens i've noticed. i hope so anyway! i want to see him!

I got confused over how many people saw it, but I've jsut remembered, we saw it together

KP is in the minority at the moment, I'm with everyone else on Fright Night 2011. I've never seen the original, so have nothing to compare to, but this was funny a bit jumpy silly scary, good looking men to look at ( yes I am that shallow) good use of 3D, and I had a massive grin on my face all the way through. A total date movie for sure.

As Beate isn't around I will say out loud, I would p*y to see this again 9/10
