Charing Cross.

Vaudeville is about a 2-3 minute walk away along The Strand (turn right out of the station).

Embankment as well, its on the District. You turn left out of the station, walk up an uphill road and the turn right into the strand. It's about 5 mins walk altogether if you can't be fussed to make too many changes on the underground.

Just to add to the chorus, Covent Garden is only a few minutes too, but Charing Cross is easier as it's one straight line.

Thanks I did look on the website, was just wondering which would be the closest, easiest to use - I'm not that familiar with the area. Seems they are all very close.

Covent Garden will be heaving on a Friday evening and if the weather stays nice like it is right now so I would avoid that station if possible. I also hate having to wait for the lifts when exiting the station.

I think it depends where you are coming from and which tube line is best for you to get there.

That's true, but I would say that Charing Cross is the closest and most direct.

Well said Beate! Although I think Charing Cross is the best as when you come out you are actually on the Strand and if you are not familiar with the area, you won't get lost ;) And once on the Strand, if you pass MacDonald's you are going the right way! :P
