I'm a bit behind with posting. :Embarrassed:
The concert Domingo/Gheorghiu concert at the O2 on Friday was beautiful! I did stay till the end 10.30pm or so (I agree the best songs were at the end!), but didn't go back to sky zone, as I had a train to catch and Horrible Histories Prom planned really early  for next day (without any tickets prebooked for that).
I had a perfect seat in O2 block 107, level 1 - absolutely brilliant! couldn't wish for a better one,my ticket also had 90 pounds value on it and a sky sticker. It was a perfect evening, thank you to the lovely fmukers who made it possible!
And Meeting prettyxcool in person and her OH just added to the pleasure of the evening! :P

I caved when the new e-mail got send out and finally got a ticket to the Flying Kama-something brothers for tomorrow night. Was less than impressed by them at West End Live but they seem to generally get decent reviews here and I'd like to see them juggle a whole chicken! (though I hope I'm not sitting in the first few rows then...). Anyone else going tomorrow night?

Hi, I'll be there this evening to see Moby.
Excellent evening! Moby really got the crowd going and he went on for half an hour longer than the other two gigs that I went to.

But i thought the support act, Silver Apples was absolutely dire.

At first, we thought the old chap was doing a sound check as he just strolled on stage and started twiddling a knob on a machine - there was no intro, and then when he didn't stop his terrible singing and noises, we realised he WAS the support act. 8O

I saw the Secret Consul a few weeks ago at a town hall in East London and it was really enjoyable. Never really seen promenade theatre crossed with opera. They had a fantastic cast of singers from Lesya Aleksyeyeva, Rita Novikaite, Masami Uehara and Xiaoran Wang. They must have been working at a reduced rate.
I really liked the beginining when everyone was waiting in the hallway and then suddenly people around I thought were also customers suddenly started singing! Talk about surround sound :D
The singing was consistently high throughout. Shame was their lack of budget, when we were led up to the main room, the action was just moving us around different parts of the same room. 7.5/10

I arrived just before the doors opened, so I managed to grab a table outside. My oh wanted to leave the table to see the support act, but thankfully I suggested that one of us should check it out first. I thought the music was atrocious, and decided to stay outside and have another beer. :D

Moby was excellent! My oh and I had a great time. :D

I have to agree - Moby was fantastic, a really good gig. The female vocalist was just amazing. I didn't bother going in for the support act either, and based on the comments I'm rather pleased I didn't !!
