Has anyone noticed that the town was named Lilian or therelike? Does that refer to anything I am not aware of?

Just looked him up on IMDB and have seen Armageddon, Morning Glory and the Office. Better than nothing I guess.

It was named after JJ Abrams grandmother.

How are people not getting where the title came from? I could understand teenagers not getting the reference, but I'm afraid there's no excuse otherwise. The camera they were filming their movie with was a Super 8. I think given the time period this is an homage to and given that the filming of their movie was such a focal point, the title is quite fitting and clever.
