I thought he swam away at the end and ran off the other cops wife.

But now u mention about him changing into best suit. Alot of service men change into them before they commit suicide.

Omg. There Is so many ways u can take the ending
Well, if he died then that's just freakin' sad considering that he had ample time to make his way off the boat. ie. He didn't need to make mindless chit-chat with that fella before it went up in flames. I'd like to think he was smarter than that. Plus the rest of the movie made him out to possess a Verbal Kint personality with a Keyser Söze sense of intelligence.
You're not old--I'm old! I love that song by Peter, Paul and Mary. Reminds me of being at university and leaving for Xmas vacation.

As for the film, well I was disappointed. I didn't find many of the lines funny although there was one man who was hysterical at Whiteley's. The one line I laughed at was when Coyle asks the FBI man if he can handle a gun and says something like "will you be able to shoot drug dealers and evil murderers when I know you FBI lot are more accustomed to shooting at women and babies?" Sorry it doesn't sound very funny here but it did seem funny at the time. Was hoping this would be a match for "In Bruges" but it couldn't compete.

Glad to see Celini and Valda and glimpse prettyxcool from a distance. Shame about the viewing experience at Whiteley's. And why can't they sort out the aircon. I thought it was hot and stuffy and when I mentioned it to the staff when I left, they said it was because the cinema was full. I said it was like that from the start when there were only 10 of us inside. It's a rubbish cinema.

I really enjoyed this tonight at a fairly busy Didsbury, lovely to see akh43 again. I thought that it was really funny and its really my sense of humour maybe as OH is Irish I do get the un PC humour. The Garda on the West Coast is just like that; OH lost his wallet in Mayo luckily it had been found but we had to wait an hour to get it back as the local Garda had put it in his own locker and had gone to the pub for his lunch so we had to wait for his return. Would have liked a definite ending.
I too am old enough to remember the song. 7/10

It's probably incompetence rather than calculation, but an overheated auditorium must help sales of ice cream and cold drinks. It seemed very hot at Wimbledon, too: the man who squeezed past me to take a seat then got up again immediately, complaining about the heat and went out, returning with 2 ice cream cornets.

I realised I was sitting there singing away waiting for the twist after the credits :red: I am sure that I saw his head in the sea, when Don Cheadle was on the quay. Not his head as in blown off, but, his head as in swimming
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

I saw that as well! Thought the camera would cut back and we'd see him, but there was nothing in the next frame.

Peter, Paul and Mary? Wasn't that a cartoon?

Hmmm. Maybe I'm thinking of Mary, Mungo and Midge! Lol.

I'm actually liking this film more and more though this discussion. I love that there seems to be so many possibilities for endings. Is actually very clever.

I noticed that too, but let's face it it was broad daylight then - next day presumably? Most likely just waves, much like most sightings of the Loch Ness Monster. Ha.
