Hmmm. Maybe I'm thinking of Mary, Mungo and Midge! Lol.

I'm actually liking this film more and more though this discussion. I love that there seems to be so many possibilities for endings. Is actually very clever.
I too loved Mary, Mungo and Midge o/ You're older than I thought stuartboy, I thought that you were about 20.

At least the ambiguity isn't as bad as in that French film (is it Hidden? Someone remind me what it's called, please!) all about people possibly being filmed and which ends with a distant shot of some people on steps. With The Guard, you can come up with several options yourself, rather than being left mystified and cross.

I thought it was hot and stuffy and when I mentioned it to the staff when I left, they said it was because the cinema was full. I said it was like that from the start when there were only 10 of us inside. It's a rubbish cinema.
It's probably incompetence rather than calculation, but an overheated auditorium must help sales of ice cream and cold drinks. It seemed very hot at Wimbledon, too: the man who squeezed past me to take a seat then got up again immediately, complaining about the heat and went out, returning with 2 ice cream cornets.
Oh I saw the man with the ice creams and really wanted one myself but was too lazy to go out!

hahaha that's funny! I forgot to say how beautiful Ireland looks. I've never been there but should do one day. I also really loved the pictures of the divers in the bar behind Doyle

Well one of the advantages (or disadvantages, depending on how you view it) of going alone is that unless you take ice cream, etc, in with you, you have to go without or risk losing your seat. And I always arrive early and aim for an aisle seat, meaning that at least I can only have a maximum of one free seat next to me.
