Raghu Dixit in Manchester.

Raghu Dixit returns this summer for an exclusive series of UK dates. Following the success of his show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall earlier this year, Raghu will play four dates this July and August including London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham. Raghu Dixit's live performances deliver songs in a fluid combination of English, Hindi and Kannada set to virtuoso guitars and violin, drawing on blues, reggae, rock, bhangra, Latin and Sufi. His debut self-titled album became India's biggest selling non-Bollywood record in 2009 paving the way for a meteoric rise to fame.

If your UNDER 26 in London, the amazing theatre Donmar Warehouse has a wonderful scheme where they reserve a whole show in each play they produce's run for under 26's. Its called Donmar Discovery.

http://www.donmarwarehouse.com/p132.html

You do have to go into the theatre which is in Covent Garden with proof of age, but it is worth it. I have seen many great things. And am going to see something next monday actually! Its worth trying to do it if you can. Or if you you have kids!

A huge, free showcase of performing talent comes to Leicester Square Theatre on 22 August.

First up, musically inclined 13-19 year olds get the chance to perform courtesy of a collaboration between Art Saves Lives and record label BeatCircle. Five acts will be picked via live auditions and submitted tapes to perform at the BeatCircle London Sound event. The show will kick off at 7pm and it should be a packed audience, including industry professionals. The ultimate winning act, selected by a public vote – will also get studio time with BeatCircle.

At 8.30pm, the main event takes over with a roster of diverse talent, most of it brought from the margins of society to the west end stage by Art Saves Lives. The line up includes amazing beat poet Jazzman John Clarke, singer/songwriter Leon Fender Walker, Deptford band ‘The Light Catches’, vocal quintet Apollo 5, up and coming Essex band Amoriste, Alter Ego street dance and a compere in the shape of actor, Jud Charlton.

The whole night of entertainment is free and kids of all ages are welcome. To get your name on the guest list and secure your rather comfy red Leicester Square Theatre seat email dean@artsaveslives.co.uk now.

One Man Song Machine at the New Red Lion Theatre
Hilarious and irreverent musical comedy “from the pen and fevered imagination of the prodigiously talented Ben Richards” (The Scotsman). London’s answer to Tim Minchin and his band present ninety high-octane minutes of original music about love, lust and the light side of life. Toe-tapping tunes, tongue-twisting lyrics and mind-blowing musical mastery all rolled into jaw-dropping, side-splitting entertainment. Gospel to garage, ragtime to rock: the only thing guaranteed is the genius.
