Re: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
When you see films like this one, it makes you wonder why they bother with so many inferior 3D efforts.
Brilliant, superb, engrossing, blah, blah, blah (I'm sure you get the idea)
9/10

Re: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Just seen this and much better than I expected.
Had a few tears in my eyes a couple of times. I found it engaging and it held my attention throughout.
Really enjoyed the film but as was fairly predictable 7/10

Alright now that we are all experts, who's going to explain the differences between apes, monkeys, chimps, orangutans, humans?

Re: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Apes is a generalised form of great apes which are mainly, but not limited to, Chimpanzees, Orangutans and Gorillas.superhero wrote:Alright now that we are all experts, who's going to explain the differences between apes, monkeys, chimps, orangutans, humans?
Monkeys are smaller, much smaller, typically the size of a poodle or smaller. Monkey is also used as an insult.
All apes, monkeys and humans have a common ancestor from a few million years ago.

Brilliant film ,great story and visual effects, i'm so on the monkeys side. A great sunday morning for the whole family, the Bournemouth Odeon was packed. Like other cinemas people left when the credits came up and missed the very end. A summer blockbusters im sure it will be.

Re: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Just back from a packed Kingston cinema for this. I really loved it! I had been looking forward to seeing it from the trailer that I'd seen a handful of times. I was quite upset about the treatment of the animals. Fantastic film though. I even ooohhed and ahhhhed a little at certain parts (not saying which hehe)
Really REALLY enjoyed it.
Really REALLY enjoyed it.
