Well, it might reach $200 million in the States afterall, depending on how well it holds. The box office has picked up well over the weekend and it's going to be $50million+ now.

That is a fantastic looking scene indeed, but in reality there's no way the Golden Gate bridge is that near in the background, artistic licence and all..

Couldn't resist seeing it again this morning, just as much fun to see second time around, except had the usual shenanigans at Whiteleys, having to avoid big heads in the way, and then having to move seats as someone with sweaty armpits sat next to me.. ugh.

No I spotted it too. The other guy that wasn't Tom Felton in the primate facility was watching television and there was a Chuck Heston film on (I believe it was The Agony and the Ecstacy)

Watched this at a busy Liverpool one this morning and got to finally meet the lovely Jordsmum (even tho I sat next 2 her on thurs, but did'nt know it). It was lovely to meet her, very friendly as I crashed her row and plonked myself next to her! Anyhoo, this was much better than I ever expected. Jon Lithgow was excellent as always! Loved the Golden Gate bridge scene, glad it wasnt like that when I went, couldn't see Alcatraz tho, which you should have been able to at some point. (boo 2 myself 4 such a silly comment). Will Tom Felton always be cast as the baddy? I hope not! 8/10

Very impressed. A great improvement from the disappointing Tim Burton remake. The apes looked so real you forget its all CGI (caeser especially, from an infant to adult ape).
Story was good. Looking forward to the next film! Im sure it'll do well. (watched it at Hatfield Galleria) ps nice nod to Heston.

I saw this today at odeon rochdale when i arrived at the cinema it wasn't open and didn't open until about 10:10 by this time there was a big que forming they then started to collect people tickets and didn't ask for i'.d or the page from the paper which was good as i didn't have it! the cinema was about 90% full and the film didn't start until 10:40 which was a bit delayed but overall the was very good i would give it 9/10 as the film was very good better than expected and the cgi was brilliant!

Well worth getting up for on a sunday morning!
Really need to join the Free Film's club this year! Always forget

Apes is a generalised form of great apes which are mainly, but not limited to, Chimpanzees, Orangutans and Gorillas.
Monkeys are smaller, much smaller, typically the size of a poodle or smaller. Monkey is also used as an insult.
All apes, monkeys and humans have a common ancestor from a few million years ago.
Monkeys have tails, apes don't.
Actually apes do have tails which are atrophied. Even humans have tails that have atrophied to the 3 bones of the coccyx.

Watched this today at Bromborough Odeon.
Very surprised only around 25% of the seats were taken as the tickets went real quick.
We all really enjoyed the movie & give it a 9/10.
Look forward to next one :D
