Good SFX, corny and lacking in a substantial plot - story could have been told in 20mins - as should have been expected
Teenage boys ideal flick as don't really have to think about it!
3/10

I'm not too sure why people are calling this a big improvement over RotF. It's just as bad in my opinion. Sure, no Mudflaps and Skids, no Decepticon testicles etc., but I didn't even think those were the biggest problems, even though they were definately among them. My main problems with this and RotF are that it was too long, too infatuated with unfunny, screwball humour, with gratuitous sexualising of women, with the US military, with weak soap opera drama, to the point that the worthwhile transformers sequences didn't even take up the majority of screen time; and in a 2 1/2 hour movie, that makes a big difference. Sorry, but as great as an hour of kickass, robot on robot carnage is and always is in these movies, it's not worth wading through an hour and half of boring, tedious, non-essential garbage.
On a positive note, always love the robots, the special effects were the best yet, the highway chase was my favourite action scene, possibly tied with the falling skyscraper, and if they'd been around for a bit longer, (MINOR SPOILER) Sentinel Prime and Shockwave would have made great villains. As is, Sentinel was okay, but Shockwave was a complete waste and did nothing, except look really evil.
4/10 from me.

Very very loud and annoying. It could have been tolerated if there was a story, or something resembling a plot.
Even the good SFX can't save it.
A moneyspinner for Mr. Bay, that's all this is.

Re: Transformers: Dark of the Moon
One thing that really annoys me about this film is that in the big action scenes towards the end, the continuity of Rosie H-W's shoes is RIDICULOUS. She seems to interchange between heels and flats. I realise this is probably one of the smallest issues most people would find fault with in this firlm, but, as a heel loving girl, it really rather irked me.
Rant over. :)
