Like Cowboys & Aliens, a film that's a great deal duller than it should be. This time with pointless 3D. I spent the first 30 minutes without the glasses on and it barely made a difference.
I'm as partial to a guilty pleasure as the next person and this should have been good violent fun, with it's endless gougings and limb removal, sadly it was a bit boring (the second film in the Superscreen at the O2 this weekend that was). It did perk up a bit when said violence erupted but it wasn't enough.
Jason Momoa was pretty good as Conan though, injecting a little more charm into the role than Schwarzenegger did. Although Stephen Lang was a fairly weak villain. He's been a lot better before (Avatar and The Hard Way spring to mind). Also it might just be me but did anyone else think Ron Perlman (as Conan's dad) looked like Harry from Harry & the Hendersons? No? Just me then.

We pa*d to see it yesterday. Felt a bit strange lol.
I thought the acting was good, Rose was a bit over the top but her character was supposed to be cuckoo. The direction was bitty, the storyline could have been so much better and the ending was a bit naff, kept expecting more from the baddies but it didn't happen after all the hype about powers and the mask. Jason Momoa is beautiful and his bottom stole the show for me.
