I think Almaldovar's life is a metaphor lol!
Can anyone who has seen this film tell me something (without giving anything away!):
Does the film have ANY gore, torture? / implied gore, torture?. If so, what kind?
-I ask as a really close friend wants to see this film -almost- as much as I do. But she can't watch gore on screen due to post-traumatic stress. She loves other Almaldovar films, so we are both hoping to watch it. But it may only be me who can

I don't recall anything really disturbing. There's some blood and self-inflicted cuts but nothing too graphic. It's all pretty mild visually.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

Ah, you mention blood and self-inflicted cuts... That is actually the kind of worst thing.
Do you actually see them "cutting" themselves? or is it the wound afterwards?

You see it afterwards. I really didn't find it too bad and it's pretty quick. It's just nothing compared to what gets shown in films (and especially Spanish films) these days.

Well talk of the devil, just won 2 tickets to see this on the 25th Thursday at Clapham Picture house 8pm. Anyone very keen on going, as I am seeing something else on that night? Otherwise I will put it on offers board later.
