Oh and please be aware that the DLR coming from Bank will NOT stop at WIQ station at that time of day, you will have to go one more stop to Canary Wharf then run over to the middle platform and take any train back (Stratford, Bank, doesn't matter) which will then stop at WIQ. This might add 5 minutes to your journey.

Thanks Beate! I just assumed my TFL route would take me to WIQ but instead it's telling me Westferry... I had not realised this until you pointed it out, so good to know that I have to change at Canary Wharf!

No no, not Westferry. If you are coming from Bank, take a Lewisham train then get off at Canary Wharf (get out on the right-hand side), walk over to the middle platform and take the train back one stop (it's usually the Stratford service on the middle platform, and it's often there already so you got to run).

Yeah I will, I was just saying what TFL had planned out for me - I was definitely not planning on getting off at Wesferry as I do not know that station at all!

My experience of watching this was greatly influenced by the annoying women sitting next to me who alternated between screaming at every tense moment and providing a running commentary ("uh oh", "oh no", "he's behind you", "don't go that way" and other such irritating chatter). Then there was the incessant rustling of popcorn and crisps packets and the glares of mobile phones during the film. It is so distracting!

As to the film...it was watchable. It is rather silly. I think it is a stretch to call this a horror when it is not particularly scary, and the odd jump is only the effect of foreboding music and clever camerawork rather than a genuinely gripping moment on screen.

The protagonist is boring and has no likeability so I'm not bothered what happens to him. Colin Farrell is not really creepy enough and comes across rather camp. There is also not sufficient backstory here. we get a few casual references thrown in near the end but his origins are never explained. Tennant is entertaining but appears in too few scenes. The script is ridiculous and lacks enough comedy to make this funny, instead the script is quite bland. The film takes itself too seriously. The girlfriend and mother don't have much character development either.

The 3D was good though, with the blood splatters at the screen adding a nice touch. Special effects were good. The soundtrack was OTT but fitted the mood of the film.

Cineworld Liverpool was 3/4 full. Film was ok not seen the original to compare. low score of 5 out of 10 from me

Edinburgh was full tonight - Cineworld was packed there was a huge Bollywood film on and that was sold out, so queues everywhere!

Anyway, the film... I thought it was hilarious, whether or not it was supposed to be, I'll leave for you to decide!

Colin Farrell and David Tennant both lapsing in part into their respective celtic accenmts were the star turns and were fairly hilarious and really seemed to enjoy camping it up, big time.

This was a teen vampire movie but to me far more enjoyable than the very dull Twilight movies as this had a sense of humour.

Yes it's a remake and yes, the original is better, but if you fancy a laugh and gore (not much!) in 3D then this is for you!

A good night for watching blokes with their shirts off!

Unfortunately the film wasn't in the same screen as Friends with Benefits, so we had to rush out and take the escalator two floors up. Arrived out of breath and were handed 3D glasses - why did no one ever say that this is in 3D? - to find that a lot of people were sitting in the screening room already. Saved by MrG who handed us the best seats in the house on a golden plate - good man, and thank you very much.

I can't say I enjoyed this very much, especially after the excellent Friends with Benefits. The film was dark and out of focus, with 3D as usual totally wasted. Didn't think it was scary enough, didn't think it was funny enough. The best thing in the whole film was David Tennant, and I am not usually a fan of his.

[spoiler]How convenient to have a stake "blessed by St Michael" that will turn everyone ok again once Colin Farrell is killed by it! [/spoiler]

On the way back in the DLR we encountered a guy who walked round the pole and round and round and round and round again without stopping - some kind of Vampire protection maybe? There are some weird people out there, folks.

This was much busier than FWB in Glasgow. Sat right at the back cos I don't like scary movies. Cheeksdevil was beside me with OH. MGellaty was right at the end of the row and Moggers with OH right at the front.

Film was decent enough but lack everything. Too slow for me with underdeveloped roles. Story kinda of jumped right in and even though it tried to explain the old friendships of past with lead watching an old video of them it just didn't quite said enough. Thought car scene was excellent. Funny in parts, gory in others but lacking throughout. Loved how it tried to use the 3D effects. best part of the film.
