Fright Night
Re: Fright Night
saw it yesterday and thought the 3D was unnecessary, plus the images were blurred and it really wasnt what i was expecting. there wasnt anything real/meaningful storyline just felt a bit pointless plus it was NOT scary at all which was a bit of a dissappointment

Re: Fright Night
Well I guess I'm on my own with this opinion but I thought the film was really entertaining, much better than I had expected and even better than the original version which I used to love watching back in the 80's.
I enjoyed the film so much that I may even b*y the 3d DVD when it becomes available

Re: Fright Night
Must admit I also noticed that the film appeared to be a bit fuzzy at WIQ. At first I thought it was my glasses and I changed them to the ones I brought from home as I was expecting it to be 3D, but no difference. I thought about going to tell the ushers but to be honest, I was getting quite tired by then and just wanted it to start! Plus it did seem to improve a bit, but I did put it on my feedback form.
I was not expecting a lot from this at all. A cheesy horror would not be my ideal choice. However this was ok. Did not recognise David Tennant at first at all. Didn't mind Farrell but all the characters were very underwhelming, probably took any potential fear out for me which was a good thing and I found it funny at points. Wouldn't rush out to see it but got through it just fine. 5/10
Missed so many fmukers last night! Didn't know so many of you were at WIQ.

Re: Fright Night
See I never thought it was supposed to be scary, I always took it as a cheesy funny scary. Silly things making you jump, when you know its going to happen but you still jump

Such a great film, me and my mate stayed up late just talking about it!
Weve decided that im stopping at hers tonight so she can see the original cause she hasnt seen it
Somehow it wont make up for the loss of 2 extremely sexy beasts though!
I really dont understand why youh ate it so much KKBeing a fan of the original myself, sure the storys been alteredslightly to fit in with the modern demographic e.g Evil Ed's conversion from punk to geek.
The pace was more drawn out which I liked because I always felt theoriginal seemed a bit rushed. In doing so they could fit alot more depth into the story e.g,
Peter Vincents childhood/vampire sub-species
And im actually glad they exchanged the psycho familiar/vampire for all the 'baby' vampires
But it DID work![]()
10/10
Movie of the year! <3
Correction to my earlier post .... You were spot on rawr_xoxo I totally agree 10/10 and I really would like the DVD

Re: Fright Night
From all the reviews I've read on this thread, it looks like nobody at WIQ enjoyed it while everyone at the other venues thought it was either decent or really good (myself included on the latter). That means the inadequate projection played a massive part in skewing the audience members' opinions.

Re: Fright Night
I was at WIQ and loved it as did my friend. And I am sure so did Valda.jramjee wrote:From all the reviews I've read on this thread, it looks like nobody at WIQ enjoyed it while everyone at the other venues thought it was either decent or really good (myself included on the latter).
