I have been running around in my uncomfy but nice looking shoes all day like an idiot! Now my feet are burning like hell. They are in a bowl of cold water as we speak.
Anyway, went to "A Night at the Museum" at the Science Museum tonight, courtesy of the same company who laid the Oxford weekend on, and it was great! They wanted to promote the Science Museum as a venue for Christmas and other parties, and they had laid on drinks (even the soft drinks were yummier than usual, melon with lemon!), canapees and bowl food (I took several pictures of the dessert array!), then had a band on stage for a short while (dressed as historical figures) followed by a prize draw which - DRUM ROLL - I WON!!! I have no business card so had taken a complimentary slip with me and put my name on it, folded it three times and stuck it in with the other business cards. As soon as the draw started and he grabbed hold of a card, unfolded it and said "Oh, that's a big one!" I went "OH MY GOD. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!" He continued "I don't know how to pronounce that name" and I knew it was me, LOL! Dinner for two with wine and champagne at Just St James - anyone ever been there?
We were then taken on a tour of the Science Museum, which to my shame I have never been to before! I will take the OH though as it's right up his street, full of engines, moon capsules, cars and planes!

Ironing is like cooking to me - another activity I keep to a minimum. My view is, if you b*y clothes which need ironing, you iron them! So OH does more ironing than I do.

Beate! You're on a roll! Congrats - how wonderful for you! Glad you had a good time too! Clearly we are all in teh wrong trade. I need to be a PA instead. I wish I had a PA actually.

I avoid b*ying things that need ironing also - some shirts I can't avoid, but I just don't enjoy it. I prefer hoovering but hubby b*ght a monstrosity which is too heavy for me! (Would be a great excuse if I didn't like it, but...)
