For super 8 the popcorn was handed out as you entered the screening, unlike previous times when it was on every seat.

If you pick the right (?) cinema, you can usually find popcorn on the seats at every screening. And on the floor, etc. Btw, am I the only person here who doesn't like it? If ever I do go to a preview with proper free popcorn, mine will be up for grabs!

And they let you choose salt or sweet.

That's nice of them, my friend's always commenting they only ever seem to do sweet popcorn, so he was so happy with the salted ones at Thor recently.

Are people seriously filling up almost two pages of the Drive thread talking about bloody popcorn? Off-topic for a couple of posts is one thing but almost two pages!?!

With that in mind can I recommend that people download the soundtrack of iTunes as it's rather good (the physical CD release is on the 27th).

Popcorn's very important part of the cinematic experience and the cultural appreciation of such a significant masterpiece as Drive :D

We haven't seen Drive yet so have to talk about other important matters like popcorn. There has also been a two page discussion on the merits of Ryan G and a similar amount of posts on the demerits of the Virgin draw so why not popcorn?

I am looking forward to Drive -- hoping for really good things.

As for popcorn -- like you Ms Thrifty I can't be bothered with it either. It's usually revolting.

Me and my friend are really looking forward to this, after seeing it advertised at Big Screen we were intrigued, but after seeing Ryan G's chest in Crazy, Stupid, Love..... well I think it goes without saying!
But genuinely I think the film looks really good, the snippets on trailers look exciting and I think it may well be one of the best thrillers of the year. :)

In other news, I can't stand popcorn. Mainly because without fail, on my first little piece, it'll go down the wrong hole, I'll choke, and ruin everyone's film experience for 5 minutes or more...
