Warrior
Re: Warrior
I went last night and enjoyed it more than the Fighter. Much better than I expected and Nick Nolte's best performance for many years.

Re: Warrior
I enjoyed the film, and thought the performances were excellent. However, the soundtrack was too quiet in the first part of the film, and muffled, which spoilt it.
On checking with others, I had not gone deaf, it was a general opinion.

I really enjoyed it, I wasn't really expecting to love it as much as I did. I was completely engrossed. Nick Nolte was brilliant, I hope he finally gets his Oscar.

Re: Warrior
not sure why i went as usually i am too squeamish to watch fight scenes. still despite spending lots of time with eyes closed i really enjoyed this. agreed nolte was excellent. a simple tale but very elegantly told.

Re: Warrior
Someone took their kids to today's screening
was waiting for the film to start and could hear chatter coming from the back, definitely sounded under 10 and when I looked back to see they were well below top of seat level. I know it comes up as a 12A (and it's up to parents) but really that does imply not to take younger ones into it.
We also had the 18 month old in CSL the other night that had bawled his way through Super 8, but at least he didn't cry so much this time.

Re: Warrior
Wow great film and the fight scenes were awesome.Went and saw this at a very quiet Southampton Odeon, plenty of spare seats and there were a few younger kids watching here too. When we first arrived we were told we might have to choose another film free due to technical problems but fortunately they sorted it out. The film was very enjoyable a great sunday morning viewing.

Re: Warrior
A great film which for me managed to transcend the standard underdog formula. As with The Fighter, there was (thank goodness!) no need for any knowledge of sport in general or fighting in particular because it's the human interest which hooks you and carries you along. Long, but not too long - the slow burn to the spectacular finale seemed entirely appropriate.

Re: Warrior
I thought Tom and Nick were totally awesome. Nick hopefully will get an Oscar for his body of work and fingers crossed Tom gets a nom as well. Tom is really coming into his own at the moment, I'll have to go see Tinker Tailor to see what he's like in that

Re: Warrior
The cinema couldn't get the film to work at Odeon Greenwich. Looked like it was going to start then the lights came on. Unlike previous times where there has been a problem with the film at Odeon Greenwich, the staff were very helpful and apologetic. They offered us the opportunity to see another film that day or possibly return to see Warrior on Wednesday. They were also offering guest passes for people who couldn't do either.
Disappointed but Odeon were on good form today. It did sound like it was totally their fault though - something about a missing key or password they needed to unlock the film for viewing. I have been to Odeon Greenwich in the past and there was an issue but the just sent us away (anyone remember Young Victoria??). Not sure if they have a new manager but it didn't make us feel like we had totally wasted our time.
