She came about 5:55pm. I'm unsure how they even missed her as she had her printout AND she walked straight past the lady giving the t-shirt who would have seen her printout.

They use screen 1 alot for Total Film screenings although I am still baffled how such a shit film like Little White Lies which hardly had any people in the screening had a much bigger screening than this one. The majority of the films I've watched have been in this one or the one directly above on the third floor (equally the same size).

Will you be complaining opas? I shall be commenting on David's blog where he wrote about WIQ (I suggest other people do too) and then send them a link to that blog.

The ticket clearly states "no late admittance" and although I can forgive people who are 2-3 minutes late, I cannot tolerate 15 minutes late into the movie and the light business was just totally the last straw.

A_person could you send me the link too..I wouldn't mind writing my complaint too!

I felt really sorry for my friend who had to put up with this. MCM, me and hd82, are familiar with annoying fuckers, although perhaps not to this extent. This was the first time she's ever gone to a screening and for her it was really special (she's alot younger than me and gets excited by small things like this). She kept saying, "I'm so excited, I've never been to one of these, I'm so looking forward to this." They completely ruined her experience and she was really disappointed. As a result she didn't enjoy the movie and that's because she missed the first 30 minutes and found it hard to pick up on it afterwards. She gave it a really low score (something under 5/10 I think) and I think that's because all she saw afterwards was just the violence and hadn't picked up the storyline properly.

Well done WIQ.

Oh yes, will complain a_person. Sounds like they treated you in a shoddy way too.

Looks like I was totally out of the picture for the t-shirts though. When I walked in, there was a good choice of seats. Maybe I wasn't p*ying enough attention but I remember thinking we had got there in good time as 5/10 mins later it was getting quite full (not including the last latecomers who arrived after the lights went down).

Just realised how hypnotic that soundtrack is. Might explain how I felt (both times) after the film as well as how I still experience the same emotion on hearing it again. Kinda makes me want to cry, but not feel sad (if that makes any sense at all).

The film is based on a book by James Sallis. I need this book now! Lol.

Ryan Gosling accepted the role within 48 hours and he was allowed to choose the director for the movie. Unusual.

Although many stunt drivers are credited, Gosling did a number of stunts himself, after completing a stunt driving car crash course. During production, Gosling re-built the Chevrolet Impala used in the film, taking it apart and putting it back together. Wow. He must have known that car back to front.

sachgeet wrote: Thanks a_person..I was definately not one of the late comers. Infact was there at 6.20 though most seats were taken by then.

I am with you on late comers situation..I was myself very surprised on the cinema firstly letting them in and then even switching on the lights and have other people move up to let the late comers get a seat! never seen that before..
Glad to hear that sachgeet. Else I would have to use that whip on you! ;)

Late comers are often allowed in but the extent they took it to last night was completely out of order. The late comers who stood directly in front of me and mcm with their big head should consider themselves lucky for not being pushed down the stairs.

A_person..i am sure you must have - count me in..I am going to write in my feedback as well.
Well, I am encouraging everybody to complain who was at WIQ (before 6:32pm). I haven't sent my complaint through yet, that's because they going to get one hell of a complaint from me.

I'd suggest commenting on this David's post here with your experience of WIQ (sorry David, completely hijacking your blog): https://moviefilmreviews.wordpress.com/ ... -awful-3d/ and then when writing your complaint to WIQ, point to David's posts and all the comments underneath. A blog complaining about a particular cinema is just really bad, especially when it's about two separate occasions.

And then complain directly through the Cineworld website.

no t-shirts given out at Bolton last night :(
Great film, loved the stylish violence, slow measured dialogue, pretty in pink references (plot (kind of) music and titles and even a reference to Shermer Ave.).
Great supporting cast, gutted that Walter White got whacked.
8/10

Despite the beginning being spoilt by latecomers I managed to get into the film. I agree with others that the soundtrack perfectly fits the mood of the film and even enhances it. There is a deliberate slow pace to start with, but I did not mind this as I tought the film was beautifully shot.

Do some cinemas attract more latecomers than others? Unusual, but I don't recall any at Crawley last night.
