I hope the film camps it up, maybe tom cruise will be okay, he played a cameo of austin powers in one of his films and is quite good at that(not that I am a big cruise fan, never really understood the appeal, less so since he went scientology!!)

Who are those characters even? And trust me, I know all the names...
Paul Gill is the producer? agent? that takes on Drew. I'm sure that is who Celini meant, although in the musical cast list the producer character is actually played by the same actor that plays Joey Primo. I think he is the producer from Orion Films that tries to interest Sherrie in a role.

Patricia Whitmore is an original character - the wife of the Mayor.
canadian_turtle wrote:where are Regina, Hertz and Franz?? They better not be leaving out that entire storyline! Also sad to not see Waitress Number 1,they've probably given her a "proper" name in the film.
Vivi Pineda plays Waitress #1 (they couldn't leave her out - she's vital as far as I'm concerned!), there is even a Waitress #2 and a Waitress #3!

If there is a controversial part of the storyline that Hollywood was likely to baulk at I would think it would be the two German characters. One very camp (which is a huge shame - I'm not usually a fan of camp humour, but Franz is very funny) and the other referred to as a fascist. I believe the new Catherina Zeta-Jones character is going to be the villain of the movie replacing Hertz as the driving force behind the redevelopment.

ah sweetie, look on the net, and see some of the vids that are around. Not too many from the actual show but some from the performances in Trafalgar Square and HMV.

I got the Broadway soundtrack today and have been walking around in a daze with a silly smile on my face. o/ Track 9/10 are my favs for a particular reason  :red:

Much as I look forward to see the film, I think it will be quite different to actually watching the show.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!
