Erm yeah. I am actually speechless right now. Powerful stuff
That pretty much sums my feelings up too.
Both me and my friend absolutely loved it.
I think Ewan and Eva worked really well together and had good on screen chemistry, the story was original, a very good take/twist and your typical contagion/virus/end of the world film, and for once, no one was there to save the day, but then again no one really died.
And I think thats what impacts you more, the fact that no one did get hurt or die, but its still a terrifying prospect.
It's one of those films that makes you realise how much you take for granted even the simplest of things :/

9/10
Shadowhunters: Looking better in black than the widows of our enemies since 1234.
I am, after all, what you made me.

Just had to google for his name but at one point I suddenly remembered that Ewen Bremner, the other chef, was in Trainspotting with Ewan, a bit of a reunion!
They did seem to have a whole load of scottish actors in there, some I've not seen for years.

I had to fight the urge to not walk out of this. I really did not like this. I can give it some credit from a technical standpoint and the general premise, but otherwise was a load of shit.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

I did wonder if she'd spent a bit more time in the lab and less time with Ewan double checking that her sense of touch was still there then maybe there might have been some kind of breakthrough in the research. :D

Yep. I love how they left it on a romantic, sweet moment but you know how unimaginably bleak the future is. Surely the next sense to go is touch and everyone will just slowly die of hunger if they can't find a way to kill themaelves. Chilling.

Back from Glasgow's screening. Cinema about 60% and some walk outs. Towards the end there was one female just chuckling away to herself near the front. Think she must had been experiencing loss of senses too.

Anyway on the whole too arty farty for me. I believe if this was a play in the theatre it might had been better received. But since it was a film I can't say I particularly liked it. Director is David MacKenzie from You Instead and I wonder how on earth he gets people or companies to give him money to make films? There was brief moments of brilliance in the film which I thought were very well done. Think theatrical. However they couldn't have save the film as the film really went nowhere. She was this specialist who could possible help save our senses but did absolutely nothing. Whilst he was the A-hole and just too Ewan MacGregor. I knew there be a moment when we see his bum and if you look closely his family jewels. I wish I lost my senses by the end. 2/10 but only cos I liked seeing Glasgow.

OMG, that's exactly what I was thinking sf - it was dead boring. I had contemplated on walking out so many times, infact I probably spent more time thinking about that than the movie itself. I chose not to because of you lovely FMUKers around me although I'm almost 80% sure Beate took a nap for 20 mins or so. If Beate or TCMMG weren't sitting next to me, I'd probably have just sat on my phone surfing the net.

Depressing, senseless, utter rubbish. Perhaps I missed all the powerful business or just think there are far more powerful movies out there - I'm not even entirely sure what message they were trying to get across. The eating scenes were just grotesque. Drinking oil? Really? You'd get a high cholesterol level with that much oil in your body and just drop dead! Even the sex was unreal (or do people really have sex like that, eating soap and what not :shifty:) although probably the highlight of the film for me. 3/10.

Really boring movie in my opinion - I regret not taking the offer of seeing RoA with the girls tonight and getting soaked wet in the rain. And I'd definitely not waste a voucher that the lovely c_t offered to watch this sort of shit.

The audience at Islington were really quiet and glued to the screen. It was almost impossible not to hear the two greedy gits sitting quite abit away from us munching and crunching and eating like they never ate before (like TCMMG said, imitating the people in the movie!). Could you have got any louder?

Wonderful to see the FMUKers though and thanks again to ejwrank and Beate for my goodies!! :D
