I was planning on coming to Greenwich tonight but was then asked to tutor someone last minute so had to give my tickets away, and then half six i get a call saying they're not well. Such a shame, i could have met up with you guys.

Hope you lot are having fun though!

I saw this at Odeon Braehead tonight as +3 of Yinster. :D

I really enjoyed this film. Good fun. Lots of fighting but no blood just some oil! There is certainly more to the film than just robots fighting so don't be put off by the robots!

The acting of the robots was 1st class. :giggle: The humans were good too!
This film would entertain most people looking for a "light" film. The brain is certainly not taxed but we all need escapism sometimes.

I'll be very surprised if there is not a Reel Steel 2! :T
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Films already booked for:

Hope to get tickets for: Every film if they come to my preferred cinemas

Haven't got time to write a full length review, but some interesting points.

OK background story, NOT just boxing robots which I was worried about.

I want a Zeus statue to grace my bedroom(sorry Atom).

The ending was sort of a shame,
even though they won in everyone else's eyes
Couldn't help but think why do they still have balls cars if they have cool advanced robots, awesome laptop computers/technology
And I hope the see through/glass iphone is available in the next few years

Having expected a saccharine-laden mess of a kiddie flick, I was quite surprised to have actually enjoyed this tonight!!
Watched it at Surrey Quays in a beautiful theater amongst some giggling teenagers and an occasionally wailing child.
The robot fight scenes were all excellent...the bits in-between, not so much. Still, wonderfully enjoyable even with the sugary dialogue and paint-by-numbers plot. Highly recommended.

You guys really think so? I mean,
he did get his ass handed to him on a platter until the very last round. The first round particularly was brutal & during the last one, he took about 300 slugs before delivering the near-KO punch.

Previous rounds aside, if the bell hadn't rang in that final round, Zeus would have been down for the count!

Totally agree, but in boxing, all the rounds are treated equally. And don't forget, Atom did fall a few times himself early on. Had this been an actual boxing match, I'm pretty sure it would have still swung in Zeus's favour.
