The chatters. They were laughing sometimes too I think. I was on the front row, they were on the 2nd. One of them said at the end "Next time you get free tickets, don't bother inviting me".

ah I had the laughers behind me I couldn't work out if the woman chatting across the other side of the room was talking about the film or just in general, she seemed to think she was in her own front room where you could chat and comment away!

Let's hope she doesn't go again then, I really think that with a sky rep there to greet people they could then come into the screening and do a bit of 'policing'.

The Sky people probably are temps hired to do the job, and then they go when the film starts, and don't give a monkeys what happens after that. hence me being told my mate can't come in if she's late, then 8 people arriving with food, 15 mins into the film
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

what a difference it makes to go see it at a well behaved screening!
It was less than half full, no noisy eaters, chatters or laughers and the film seemed a lot better and seemed to go faster, which doesn't normally happen on a second viewing. Also the speech at the start makes more sense knowing what's coming. And the house lights stayed off until the very end, unfortunately the odeon emergency lights are always a bit to bright for me so we were never in complete darkness either.

There were two women that burst out laughing as soon as they got into the corridor as we were leaving but that just shows the level of consideration in a Times audience that they held it in during the actual film.

That was a seriously odd movie. I still can't quite decide if I liked it. 6/10 for now.

Saw this a full Shepherds Bush. The ushers didn't know what to do with us when we arrived, but we got there in the end...

I wasn't sure what to make of it at first. I can certainly see why the 'knives' are out. Too slow perhaps, a pretentious and silly little concept that's taken as far as it can - is it a virus? is it an act of terrorism? is it God's punishment? And a few inconsistencies here and there
(eg Ewan going deaf but strangely retaining his perfect intonation. Or Eva showing little sympathy when Ewan experiences his pre-deafness rage whereas she should know better as an epi-what's its).
Depending on how you take it, some of the scenes teeter between utter tragedy or utter hilarity (I'm thinking the hunger rampage in particular).

Yet there is a beauty to the film. It won't win awards but it makes you think. Surely that what counts. It is memorable, unique and has that stickability to linger in the mind well after you leave the cinema. I think the uplifting message of people's stoicism is something to take away.

Saw this at a very empty Bournemouth Odeon about 33 people including the wife and myself. As for the film i'm like others not sure what to make of it,it was watchable and ok story line about a virus or what ever it was attacking the human race. So overall the jury is undecided on this one. 8-)
