I can find good deals for the coach, but because it's for my mum, she won't be able travel in a coach for so many hours.

One possibility, suggested by MSE, is to b*y multiple tickets for the same train. Its possible that the leg from Manchester to Birmingham, plus the leg from Birmingham to London costs less than the single ticket Manchester to London. We are talking about the exact same train journey, the only difference is how you p*y for it. You may need to split the tickets differently, I only gave an example.

I did think of that but i don't want any problems like one train being delayed and then the next one leaving on time so you miss the second one or something.

That is completely correct. Look at prices for different parts of a long journey. Sometimes p*ying different legs is cheaper than p*ying one ticket

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

I think he means it's all the same train, you just p*y for different parts of that journey on the train separately.

Are you changing trains along the way? My suggestion doesn't need you to do that unless there is no choice.
