Gosh I hope time flies between May- September 2012. Cannot even begin to imagine the disruption it will cause to the London travel/transport network.
There were stories in the papers the other week that TFL were warning of possible delays of over 90 mins for passengers entering Canary Wharf station during the Olympics!!!!

I used to avoid getting the tube as I thought the bus was a little bit more sane, but that is getting even more irritating - might as well jump on the tube and get the benefit of its speed as the conditions are almost similar these days. Sometimes I just walk home - takes over an hour but on a nice day it is worth it!
I do that too. It's a thirty minutes walk but well worth it if I get to walk in the shade. The other option is the stench of sweat on buses/DLRs.

Well that's just darkened my mood even more. All this f**king roadwork going on at the moment is for the stupid Olympics. Why did they not do all this road work before? For example, one of the routes that has been completely changed is near Whitechapel at a junction going onto Bethnal Green/Mile End or towards the city. The way it worked was currently perfect but meant that lights only allowed certain cars to go forward at a point however was the most safest. Now they've completely changed it and not only is it difficult to do a f**king left turn, the road is f**king atrocious. It causes fights and accidents when people are trying to turn right. If people start fighting now at the junction as a result of the change due to lane priorities etc, imagine the chaos/riots it will cause during the Olympics. The thought of it just angers me.

Another example is that stupid f**king Blackwall Tunnel. They are still working on it and I haven't noticed one bit of change when I travel through it - what the f**k do they do every night when they close off one lane?

There's the rant we all wanted!
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

c_t did you find the stores you wanted? personally i find that ALL places that make plus sized clothes cater for older people more than young people, all in the current trends but they like to put a frumpy stamp on it all. At least that is how I feel. I usually pick things up in shops say something horrible and fling it back down again. I wish I could afford the clothes on ASOS Curve and I want Beth Ditto to do another collection at Evans!

Considering I do actually have an hourglass figure I find it ridiculously hard to find clothes that fit me properly and show that off because I'm not 5.9 and a size 16 and I like a high waisted fit that flatters and fits.

I hope you find whatever it was you were looking for for whoever it was for!

I haven't looked into it yet aruif. I asked for my mum and she's coming tomorrow. While she's slightly older, she doesn't exactly wear granny clothes but from the brief look I had at the websites of the ones people linked to they have more modern stuff too.

Personally my problem with clothes is that I am short and as such jeans are always waaay too long. And also, it'd be amazing when/if clothes designers ever realise that we're not all the same shapes just because we are a certain length!

I think most plus size shops have modern stuff in them, just not the stuff I want most of the time. I'm having to put together the basics of a work wardrobe at the moment and it's almost hellish.

Can you not find jeans in a shorter length? I get mine in a short length, not that i like wearing jeans at the moment (Cant get into mine refuse to b*y any others). Dorothy Perkins do a short length (mine are from there) and also Gap seem to be a good fit for people with a shorter leg (my best friend is same height as me 5.4 and she gets hers in there). o/
