Judging by the information on the covers the subject matter of the two books doesn't sound at all erotic.

I don't think I've ever seen so many people walk out of a film (except for A Prophet when people realised there were no subtitles but that due to a tech fault) I was one of the only few that stuck it to the end hoping for some big revelation that would help the whole think make sense except it never came. My final conclusion was that since he was going mad with syphilis they were trying to make the audience feel that way too. Either way it didn't make it a watchable film.

I was surprised too to see her turn up!
Her first words after the film finished "well thank god that's ended!" or something to that effect!
