Well mine was made by the hotel last weekend - not how I like it (it was lukewarm and a stingy portion) but I was too lazy to make any of my own today. Making up for that with spicy soup for lunch, though I'll probably be far too hot by then as I'm off to Zumba any minute.

That's also made me want porridge!

It is so cold, I gave into the heating 2 days ago!

Pret's porridge is quite nice but again, only lukewarm. Some of my colleagues make instant porridge at work but when I tried it, it was a pale imitation so now I have lots of unused sachets cluttering up my locker. And the M & S instant version is a travesty. I should probably move to the Food thread...

Oh is it British?

Can you guys recommend me the best porridge brand? I always had it when I lived in Canada but the ones I tried here just weren't as good :( (apple/cinnamon is my preferred flavour of poison  )

I don't know if it's British actually... I just know we don't have that on the other side of the channel!
I could not recommend any brand, I never prepare porridge myself, it's too messy! I am lucky enough to have (my second ... don't listen MrG!) breakfast at work almost everyday, and they prepare a lovely porridge :D
