I am jumping in on the turtle and raj's discussion.

Dollhouse had such potential but the writing was heavy and the opening episodes weren't that strong so it never got the audience figures that were expected, hence it got cancelled. It was quite convoluted but it the story did have a resolution (sort of). I think, after Lost, viewers got impatient waiting for shows to make sense.

I was gutted when Flash Forward got cancelled. That cliffhanger was a bit of a desperate attempt to get a second series but it was so frustrating for the fans! The same thing happened with The Event, the writers tried to leave it open for future episodes but that meant the finale had an open ending!

I only know what Clooney and Tennant look like. Yes to Clooney: it's the salt and pepper thing. No to Tennant.

I personally think one of the main problems of Dollhouse lays with Eliza I think she was the wrong choice for the focus of the series (I think it's her limited acting abilities but it may have been the character of Echo) and because of that the first episodes felt so weak and audiences turned off. A real shame as I loved the 2020 storlyline and characters like Topher and Adelle showed so much potential in those episodes, making it even more of a shame that they didn't get it throughouut the seasons.

FlashForward: This show really became weak about midweek through up until the point where I stopped watching (too much going on, too little explanation - worse than Lost!) but then I eventually watched the last 5 episodes or so in a row and was surprised by how much potential it showed. I don't think that the cliffhanger was a desperate attempt for a S2(hadn't the show been cancelled already anyway when they filmed that?) instead I watched it with my mouth hanging open feeling momentaritly excited about what could've been.

The Event: Never watched it as I feared that so close after FlashForward and Lost it would get cancelled before the 1st seasonw as over and I didn't want to get attached to another sinking ship.
